Job Description

The Department of Microbiology & Immunology, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, is seeking a Lab Technologist to support teaching, laboratory safety, core facility operations, and PI lab management.

Key responsibilities

• Support laboratory practical classes and invigilation duties
• Prepare practical materials, assist with lab set-up and clean-up
• Support lab safety management, safety certification audits, inspections, and safety events
• Assist with daily operations, maintenance, and upkeep of laboratories and core facilities
• Maintain equipment inventory, basic equipment tracking, procurement, and vendor coordination
• Process financial documents, claims, and related administrative tasks
• Support PI lab operations, grant management, procurement, and equipment maintenance

Qualifications

• Diploma in Life Science or equivalent
• 2–3 years of relevant working experience
• Knowledge of laboratory safety management will be an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• A good team player who can also work independently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
