Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
•    Plan, procure, install, and commission semiconductor process tools.
•    Conduct routine servicing, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of front-end process tools such as sputter systems, E-beam evaporators, ALD, ICP-RIE, die bonders, and more.
•    Support the calibration and qualification of tools to ensure operational accuracy and reliability.
•    Perform hands-on repairs and resolve technical issues independently.
•    Collaborate with vendors for regular preventive maintenance and service contracts.
•    Ensure minimal downtime by developing contingency plans for tool failures.
•    Prepare and update risk assessments and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all tools and systems.
•    Coordinate and support internal and external audits to ensure compliance with NUS safety standards.
•    Monitor and enforce cleanroom safety protocols and chemical handling guidelines.
•    Provide technical support and training to new users and junior staff.
•    Take full ownership and accountability for assigned tasks, ensuring their successful completion.
•    Proactively communicate issues, updates, and progress to relevant stakeholders.
•    Trained and be a backup ERT Team member and ready to respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
•    Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
•    At least 3–5 years of experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing semiconductor processing tools.
•    Prior experience in a semiconductor cleanroom environment, particularly with hazardous production materials (HPM).
•    Experience handling deposition, etching, and packaging tools such as sputter systems, ALD, ICP-RIE, and die bonders.
•    Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
•    Familiarity with safety protocols, including chemical and gas handling procedures.
•    Proficiency in AutoCAD is an added advantage.
•    Good oral, written, and presentation skills in English.
•    Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
•    Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or management, in line with the role's scope and the operational needs of the facility.
