The Access and Wellness Division in the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) cultivates caring student life communities that empower every student’s unique learning journey and embraces growth beyond academics — supporting personal development, fostering meaningful peer connections, and providing comprehensive socioemotional care through managing distress, transitions, and navigating institutional processes.
The Health & Wellbeing team (HWB) spearheads the innovation, implementation, and evaluation of health & wellbeing programs across the National University of Singapore (NUS). HWB aims to lead the way globally in organisational wellbeing, crafting innovative solutions for compassionate and thriving communities.

In a role that connects the work of OSA and HWB, the candidate will lead the Residential Wellness Team within the OSA Student Wellness Section that implements the combined student wellness vision and strategy of both OSA and HWB. He/She works closely with the Divisional and Section Heads of OSA and Leadership team of HWB to champion student wellness in NUS hostels. He/She will oversee day-to-day operations of the Team, provide executive leadership in implementing and coordinating wellness strategies and initiatives, compliance, and quality assurance; identify and meet staffing requirements for efficient operations, and maintain a strong and supportive work culture that attracts, develops and retains talent.

 

Key Responsibilities
•    Work closely with the Section Head (Student Wellness) to implement the strategic roadmap for the development, management and integration of student wellness and student peer support initiatives in NUS, ensuring aligned actions, and provide executive leadership to the Residential Wellness Section.
•    Oversee the alignment and implementation of student wellness initiatives and programmes in the hostels. This includes working with the team to establish and manage programme evaluation frameworks to track outcomes, measure impact and guide programme decisions.
•    Lead the Residential Wellness Team to strategise, develop and strengthen inter-department collaborations with internal stakeholders and community agencies so as to provide coordinated and timely care and support to students.
•    Lead community outreach and engagement efforts in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to to promote healthy environments, strong peer support networks and provide knowledge and skills for students to make more informed choices.
•    Oversee case management and support, including staff supervision, coordinating interventions, and resolving complex student issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
•    Manage day-to-day operations to ensure service and professional standards are met, including data accuracy and adherence to policy. 
•    Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of student volunteers to support Student Wellness initiatives and programmes. 

Qualifications

1.    A recognized Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Counselling, Special Education or Psychology with at least 10 years of professional experience.
2.    Strong organisational and clinical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, ensure accountability, and support effective delivery.
3.    Demonstrated effective leadership capability in navigating change, providing direction, exercising sound judgement, and operating effectively in complex and evolving environments. 
4.    Proven ability to manage people, including leading teams, supervising workloads, and developing staff.
5.    Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
6.    Proficient in outcomes and impact measurement.
7.    IT proficiency, including MS Office applications.
