We educate the next generation of doctors and nurses to the highest clinical standards and prepare them to meet tomorrow’s medical challenges competently, compassionately and creatively.
As part of the Dean's office education division, this position will advance medical learning data analytics including handling of data and various digital learning resources and systems, interfacing with administrators, students and faculty members in NUSMed Dean’s Office, NUSMed Departments (eg ALCNS), NUS, NUH and NUHS, and leveraging data science to improve faculty teaching and enhance student learning experience. Successful candidates will be offered a renewable 2 years contract.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Forge strategic partnerships with renowned academic institutions, including Harvard University, to establish the Centre as a focal point for collaborative research and knowledge-sharing in biomedical informatics.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in academia, healthcare, industry, government, and philanthropy, positioning the Centre as a trusted partner for collaboration and innovation in biomedical informatics.
- Collaborate closely with research teams to assess and communicate the impact of the Centre's work, engaging with principal investigators to understand project objectives and methodologies.
- Employ structured assessment approaches to identify key performance indicators tailored to each project, ensuring evaluations align with the Centre's goals.
- Disseminate assessment findings through diverse channels, such as publications and media outreach, to highlight the practical implications of research in healthcare innovation.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy to enhance the Centre's visibility and reinforce its reputation as a leader in biomedical informatics research and expertise within the region.
- Create compelling narratives and content that effectively communicate the Centre's research advancements, initiatives, and impact to diverse regional audiences.
Qualifications
- Recognised university degree with at least 4 years of relevant work experience in institutes of higher learning
- Prior experience in a higher educational institution or management of professional education programmes is advantageous
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Copywriting experience with strong written and oral communication skills
- Meticulous, self-initiated, well-organised and able to work independently or in a team
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with all levels of staff as well as students
- Positive attitude and able to multi-task and work under pressure and tight deadlines
