Job Description
Special Programmes Management
• Manage the planning, administration, and enhancement of College of Design and Engineering (CDE)’s Special Programmes, including Double Degree Programmes, Double Major Programmes, and Minor Programmes.
• Serve as the College’s primary point-of-contact for Special Programmes.
• Review and enhance programme structures, policies, and processes to support evolving educational needs.
• Evaluate and map academic requirements across CDE and partner faculties to support clear academic pathways for students.
• Advise students, academic staff, and stakeholders on programme requirements, progression matters, and University policies.
• Oversee the lifecycle of Double Degree Programmes, including outreach, admissions, onboarding, progression monitoring, academic reviews, and graduation clearance.
• Work with faculties and central administrative offices to resolve complex cases and support student success.
• Drive process improvements and digital solutions to improve programme administration and service delivery.
Donor Scholarships Management
• Manage the administration and governance of CDE-administered donor-funded scholarships.
• Oversee scholarship application, evaluation, selection, award, and renewal processes.
• Ensure compliance with donor intentions, University policies, and governance requirements.
• Work with University stakeholders and donors to strengthen scholarship engagement and programme effectiveness.
• Monitor scholarship utilisation, outcomes, and trends to support planning and decision-making.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing materials for senior leadership, donors, and governance committees.
• Review and improve scholarship administration processes to enhance efficiency, transparency, and student experience.
Undergraduate Admissions
• Manage CDE-level admissions activities, including applicant engagement, departmental coordination, selection support, data tracking, reporting, and post-offer follow-up.
• Partner with academic departments and University offices to ensure effective implementation of admissions policies and processes.
• Analyse admissions data and trends to generate insights that inform recruitment strategies, programme planning, and decision-making.
• Develop and implement initiatives to enhance the applicant experience and operational effectiveness.
• Leverage technology, automation, digitalisation, and AI-enabled tools to improve service delivery and business processes.
• Contribute to strategies that strengthen CDE's reputation and attractiveness to prospective students.
Strategic Projects, Events & Continuous Improvement
• Lead and manage cross-functional projects aligned with undergraduate education priorities.
• Contribute to the development of policies, frameworks, and practices that improve programme effectiveness.
• Use data, analytics, and stakeholder feedback to identify and implement improvements.
• Represent CDE at University, faculty, and external engagement activities where appropriate.
• Support new strategic initiatives and projects as assigned by College leadership.
Qualifications
• A good Bachelor’s degree from a recognised University.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in higher education administration, programme management, student services, admissions, scholarships administration, or related fields.
• Experience leading projects, improving processes, and managing multiple stakeholders in a complex organisational environment.
• Experience in policy implementation, operational planning, change management, or service transformation would be advantageous.
• Candidates with relevant experience and alternative qualifications may be considered.
• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with academic staff, students, donors, and external partners.
• Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives, influence stakeholders, and drive outcomes across organisational boundaries.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to use data and insights to support planning and improvements.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Service-oriented, adaptable, and proactive, with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other digital tools; experience in process automation, digitalisation, analytics, or AI-enabled solutions will be an advantage.
