Job Description
The AquaPolis Programme Office (APO) is seeking a highly motivated Manager to join our Research Management Team. This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in managing multi-institutional research grants, coordinating cross-institutional projects, and engaging stakeholders across academia, government, and the aquaculture industry.
As APO accelerates its efforts to establish Singapore’s iconic tropical marine aquaculture R&D programme, you will oversee project execution, reporting, and stakeholder coordination to ensure integration and impact. The role is ideal for candidates with strong project management and facilitation skills who wish to contribute to high-impact initiatives that strengthen Singapore’s food security and innovation ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
1. Programme & Grant Management
- Manage AquaPolis research grants and projects, tracking deliverables, milestones, and fund utilisation across multiple institutions.
- Support PIs and project teams in workplan execution, resource allocation, and timely submission of reports.
- Coordinate integration across Work Packages and synergise efforts across AquaPolis programmes for impact.
- Prepare consolidated progress and financial reports for submission to funding agencies and governance boards, ensuring overall compliance with funding requirements, SFA guidelines, and university policies.
2. Stakeholder & Industry Engagement
- Liaise with PIs, industry partners, and government agencies to ensure alignment on milestones, budgets, and deliverables.
- Organise meetings, workshops, and stakeholder sessions, ensuring effective coordination and follow-up.
- Represent APO and PIs at industry and government meetings, supporting partnerships and collaborations that advance programme goals.
3. Governance, Reporting & Communications
- Prepare governance papers, management updates, and presentations for boards and agencies.
- Support APO’s communications, including website content, ecosystem updates, and outreach materials.
- Assist the Programme Director, Programme Manager and senior leadership in strategic planning and proposal development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with at least 3–5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong background in project and grant management, preferably within research, innovation, or government-funded programmes.
- Excellent organisational, coordination, and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with good analytical ability and attention to detail.
- A genuine interest in aquaculture, sustainability, and Singapore’s food security initiatives.
