Job Description
Residential Life's vision is to partner with the leadership of NUS hostels in creating a home-away-from-home residential experience where every student feels supported, engaged, and empowered to thrive, both within the residential community and beyond.
As a member of the Residential Life team, the incumbent will play a key role in fostering a safe, enriching, and conducive living environment across NUS hostels. The role involves providing timely guidance to hostels, supporting the development and implmentation of policies that enhance residents' hoslistic experience, and promoting initiatives that empower students to grow, contribute meaningfully, and succeed during their time in residence
Duties& Responsibilities
1. Community Standards Enforcemen
- Assist in managing living and commiunity standards in NUS hostels, including conducting fact-finding investigations, handling disciplinary cases, maintaining accurate records, and reviewing related policies and practices.
- Provide hostels with advice on disciplinary matters, including inter-hostel cases, based on the principles of consistency and fairness.
2. Data Administration and Management
- Dta Management & Analysis: Including compiling, maintaining, and cleaning of data; trend analysis to identify patterns and support strategic decision-making.
- Manage and update RL disciplinary data inventory across multiple platforms for better accessibility and reporting.
3. Others
- Organisational effectiveness taskforce
- Admin and finance matters for the section
- Handling ad-hoc projects as and when assigned.
Qualifications
- A good University degree with at least 3 years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in software applications, including Microsoft Office, Power BI, Tableau
- Possess a mix of technical skills and analytical thinking for data or trend analysis
- Meticulous witj proven record in project planning and organizational skill
- Articulate in both written and verbal communication.
- Organised and able to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines.
- Demonstrates excellent skills in teamwork and collaboration with stakeholders.
