Job Description

  1. Oversee and fulfil facilities service requests (cleaning, repairs, room setups) using our workorder app and improve the app’s operational capabilities.
  2. Optimise classroom and event space setups, including spatial furniture configuration and AV readiness checks to achieve high-fidelity performance.
  3. Strengthen routine inspection regimes to anticipate maintenance needs, prevent safety issues, and initiate follow-through with vendors and central facilities teams.
  4. Safeguard accurate inventory records and enforce inventory standards (stock checks, reordering, tagging/asset tracking, storage upkeep).
  5. Champion safety and compliance tasks, oversee incident reporting, and elevate housekeeping standards.
  6. Manage security, administer key/access card issuance and tracking to ensure full alignment with policy.
  7. Coordinate contractors and engage stakeholders, ensure clarity of updates and timely completion of works.
  8. Ensure integrity and accuracy of records for work orders, inspections, and vendor activities
  9. Drive continuous enhancements in processes and service levels.

Qualifications and Experience

Education: Degree of Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil & Structural, Facilities Management or equivalent.

 

Experience: At least 5 years of relevant practical experience in facilities management with minor A&A/Cyclical/Facilities Renewal project management of building projects (preferably institutional and residential buildings). Relevant experience in the maintenance of M&E services will be an added advantage.

 

Skills: Strong problem-solving and coordination abilities, excellent written and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, with familiarity in MS Project preferred. A hands-on and proactive approach is essential, and having a Certified Fire Safety Manager qualification would be an advantage.

 

Strengths: Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented, with good communication skills and a strong service-oriented mindset.

 

Physical Requirements: Able to walk across campus sites, set up rooms and furniture, and safely lift or move items of up to approximately 15 kg.

 

Availability: This is an on-site role that may occasionally require early mornings, evenings, or weekend work during peak periods.
