- Develop and maintain detailed budgets and financial forecasts to ensure alignment with the programme work plan.
- Track and process invoicing, membership fees, and renewals for AquaTIC.
- Ensure proper budget allocation, expense tracking, and compliance with financial policies (including university finance policies and SFA funding guidelines).
- Monitor financial risks and ensure adherence to internal controls and guidelines.
b) Administrative and Procurement Support:
- Establish and refine administrative structures and processes for AquaPolis projects across multiple institutions.
- Support the Programme Office and NUS Principal Investigators in administrative and procurement matters for meetings, workshops and events.
- Coordinate with Principal Investigators from different IHLs and Research Institutes on project operations, offering exposure to collaborative research ecosystems.
c) Industry Engagement and Ecosystem Communications:
- Serve as a point of contact for industry stakeholders, support follow-ups with partner organisations, and contribute to maintaining strong industry relationships.
- Assist in curating and managing communication channels (e.g. website, LinkedIn, newsletters) for AquaPolis, ensuring regular updates on ongoing projects, funding opportunities, events, and aquaculture ecosystem developments in Singapore.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field is required, along with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in financial management.
- Experience in an IHL (Institution of Higher Learning) environment, particularly in handling financial and administrative operations for collaborative research and development projects, would be useful.
- Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to keep meticulous records, provide data-driven insights, and demonstrate problem-solving abilities.
- Good organizational and project management skills, with experience managing multiple tasks and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.
