Job Description
• Lead, oversee, and plan the development of autonomous vehicle learning platforms.
• Identify and develop autonomous vehicle hardware and software stacks.
• Actively drive projects to improve existing platform features and add new features to complement and expand the capabilities of the system.
• Engage and mentor Master’s and Undergraduate students as well as industry attachment interns.
• Collaborate with other research engineers and coordinate various activities at the Advanced Robotics Centre.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering related to robotics field.
• Familiar with vehicle structures, electronics, vehicle kinematics and dynamics.
• Experience with autonomous vehicles Drive-by-Wire (DBW) systems and control.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM and fast prototyping.
• Familiar with open-source autonomous driving frameworks such as Apollo, Autoware, etc.
• Proficiency in robotics middleware and simulation tools (ROS, Gazebo, Carla, SUMO, Carsim (preferred)).
• Experience in C/C++ and Python development.
• Experience in autonomous vehicles and robotics full-stack development is preferred.
• Experience in remote control system development is preferred.
• Highly motivated individual who can work in a fast-paced environment.
• Meticulous organizer with a positive and can-do attitude.
• Strong team player with the ability to lead projects.
• Good communication, writing and presentation skills.
