We are looking for a Project Manager to help run a programme on quantum algorithms and software applicationsunder Singapore’s National Quantum Computing Hub (NQCH) — a national effort to grow quantum computing capabilities, community, and collaborations.

You will help manage a project on quantum algorithms and software applications as part of Singapore’s National Quantum Computing Hub (NQCH). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating people, managing complex projects, communicating technical ideas clearly, and helping build Singapore’s quantum technology ecosystem.

Project Management

  • Plan and coordinate a programme focused on quantum algorithms and their real-world applications.
  • Work with researchers, partner institutions, funders, and other stakeholders to keep projects on track.
  • Manage timelines and budgets, and prepare regular updates and reports.

Operations & Administration

  • Support day-to-day programme operations, including budgeting, procurement, HR coordination, and cloud access.
  • Ensure activities meet organisational and grant requirements.
  • Help organise events, meetings, and facility bookings.

Engagement & Outreach

  • Share project updates and quantum research with a range of audiences, from students to industry.
  • Help connect industry interests with research collaboration opportunities.
  • Organise and support talks, workshops, roundtables, and networking events.
  • Prepare clear presentation materials and simple visuals to explain quantum concepts.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in a STEM field (e.g. Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Computational Chemistry), or a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with relevant work experience.
  • Experience in project or programme management, research administration, industry engagement, or partnership building.
  • Basic understanding of quantum computing and interest in how it applies to areas like finance, logistics, or drug discovery.
  • Good communication skills and comfort explaining technical topics to non-experts.
  • Strong organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle several projects.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-moving environment.

Nice to Have

  • PhD in a STEM field.
  • Familiarity with Singapore’s research and innovation (RIE) ecosystem.
  • Experience organising outreach or industry events.
