Job Description
The Head and Neck Genomics Laboratory (Principal Investigator: Asst Prof Joshua Tay, MBBS, PhD) at the National University of Singapore is inviting applications for a research assistant. The successful candidate will be involved in building precision medicine tools using novel state-of-the-art genomic techniques and machine-learning algorithms. The goal is to translate these tools from the bench into actual clinical tests at the bedside. The successful candidate will work closely with the PI, post-doctoral research fellows and clinical coordinators in a closely-knit lab.
Requirements
• Masters in Biosciences related discipline (e.g. machine learning, genomics, molecular biology etc)
• Driven, motivated and excited about new scientific discoveries and translation to patient care
• Strong ability to implement bioinformatic pipelines and analysis
• Careful, meticulous and keeps clear records
• Strong writing ability and communication skills
