The Health Intervention and Policy Evaluation Research Centre (HIPER) (https://hiper.nus.edu.sg/) at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health (SSHSPH), NUS, is seeking to hire an individual with relevant experience to lead and support work in the area of health services research.

 

The candidate will play a critical role in the development of the Centre’s growing research agenda to support health policy and services research in Singapore and the region, gaining the opportunity to work with leading experts and policy makers in the field. The candidate will play a key role in supporting the design, implementation, and administration of research projects. Responsibilities will include conducting interviews with patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders, as well as contributing to the preparation of research protocols, ethics submissions, and project reports. The role also involves supporting data collection and analysis, participating in the development of publications and policy reports, and disseminating findings through academic and policy channels. As part of the research team, the candidate will also assist in grant applications and stakeholder engagement efforts. Given that the role may involve patient interaction within hospital settings, up-to-date vaccination is required in accordance with institutional guidelines. Requirements:
Applicants are expected to hold at least a Bachelor's degree from an established University, preferably in public health, sociology, nursing, life sciences or equivalent. The grade of appointment will be accorded based on qualifications and work experience.

 

Applicants with following experiences and skills are preferred:
• Experience conducting qualitative research, including collection and analysis of focus group / interview / other qualitative data
• Experience with mixed-methods research/quantitative programme evaluation
• Good team-player, independent, well-organised and meticulous
• Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications as well as data management and analysis using qualitative data software, e.g. NVivo or Atlas.ti and statistical software (Stata or SPSS)
