Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Research Assistant to join the laboratory of Kaiwen Chen at the National University of Singapore. The successful candidate will become part of a young and dynamic research team investigating the molecular mechanisms of innate immunity, cell death signalling, and host–pathogen interactions. The Research Assistant will support ongoing research projects through laboratory experiments and contribute to studies aimed at understanding how host cells detect and respond to microbial infections. Qualifications
- BSc (Hons) in Life Sciences, Immunology, Microbiology, or a related discipline
- Experience in cell culture and infection assays
- Experience in molecular biology techniques, such as cloning, site-directed mutagenesis, and lentiviral transduction
- Prior experience in generating bacterial mutants is highly desirable
Terms of Appointment
Appointments will be made on a 1-year contract basis, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability. Strong candidates may also have the opportunity for conversion into PhD studies. The salary package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
