Job Description
We are inviting applications for the position of Research Assistant to join our laboratory team.
In this role, you will apply immunologic methods developed in our laboratory for patients diagnosed with haematologic malignancies to
(a) precisely classify the cancer cells at diagnosis or recurrence of the disease.
(b) the response to treatment throughout therapy
(c) to monitor and characterise genetically engineered cells infused into patients enrolled on cell therapy protocols
Key Responsibilities and Roles
- the processing of clinical research samples and collection of data from local and overseas institutions.
- Participation in all aspects of laboratory quality control (internal and external)
- Documentation of work processes and maintenance of databases
- Perform daily and monthly maintenance of critical laboratory equipment.
Remuneration commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. This role offers the opportunity to work in a clinical research environment, contribute to the understanding and treatment of haematologic malignancies, and develop valuable skills in flow cytometry.
Qualifications
- BSc degree in Biological Sciences or related subject from an accredited university
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Excellent ability to understand instructions and technical processes
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of MS Office applications
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
