Job Description

Applicants are invited to submit a full-time position as a Research Assistant (RA) at the Department of Communications and New Media to support NUS Health’s communication and research efforts. The RA will play a key role in supporting the planning, creation, and execution of digital communication campaigns while providing research and operational support to the team.

 

NUS Health is an upcoming workplace-embedded health programme designed for National University of Singapore (NUS) employees. By integrating individual, social, environmental, and organizational strategies, the programme concurrently targets sleep quality, sedentary behaviour, and physical activity to support sustainable, long-term behaviour change across campus.

 

The Department of Communications and New Media (CNM) is a leading centre of communication and new media learning rooted in Asia and based on the principles of interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary theory, research, and practice. CNM’s mission is Communication for Transformation: it aspires to transform student, discipline, sector and society through teaching innovation, research excellence, and knowledge translation.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Communication and Content Production

  • Assist in the development, design and production of digital content (e.g. graphics, short-form videos, blog posts) to deliver intervention messages across our programme’s platforms
  • Managing NUS Health’s content calendar, including scheduling, publishing and tracking of digital communications to ensure consistent participant engagement
  • Managing the coordination of different stakeholders across NUS Campus

 

Research Support

  • Support relevant research activities to evaluate and enhance the NUS Health communication strategy
  • Assist in compiling engagement data and feedback to inform future communication interventions

 

Operational and Project Support

  • Support NUS Health project team on day-to-day operational matters, participant coordination and logistics
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Reporting Officer or Principal Investigator

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Experiences in digital communication, content creation and/or campaign management are highly appreciated
  • At a minimum able to use graphic design and video editing software (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, Premiere Pro or CupCut etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to write clear, engaging content for diverse audiences
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, navigating dynamic reporting lines and coordinating across multiple campus stakeholders
  • A highly motivated, action-oriented individual capable of working independently with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
