Job Description
As a Research Assistant at the N.1 Institute of Health, working within A/P Christopher Asplund's Lab, you will play a vital role in supporting experimental research focused on understanding learning processes. This dynamic position requires collaboration with diverse team members and external collaborators to collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data to generate new insights in cognitive science and related fields.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct rigorous data analysis, visualization, and interpretation using computational tools including R, Matlab, and Python, ensuring data integrity and reproducibility.
Contribute to the design and refinement of experimental protocols, offering input to optimize data collection and quality.
Assist in the preparation of detailed reports and presentations for funding bodies, stakeholders, and academic publications, adhering to high standards of scientific communication.
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, supporting project coordination and contributing to lab meetings and discussions.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of procedures, analyses, and results to facilitate transparency and future research development.
Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of latest methodologies in experimental design and data analysis relevant to learning research.

Qualifications
- Possession of a BA degree or equivalent qualification in Psychology, Data Science, Life Sciences, or another closely related discipline that underpins experimental research.
- Minimum of two years proven experience in experimental and analytical research settings, preferably involving human or animal learning studies.
- Demonstrated proficiency in analysis programming languages and environments such as R, Matlab, and Python, including data visualization and statistical modeling capabilities.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a collaborative research environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling clear reporting of complex data and research findings to diverse audiences.
- Experience in preparing scientific reports and publications is highly desirable.
