Job Description

•    Synthesize 3D nanofiber networks using electrospinning technology.
•    Fabricate ultrathin, lightweight ceramic-in-polymer composite membranes for high-performance solid-state batteries.
•    Synthesis and characterization of composite cathodes for Li-ion batteries.
•    Characterize and optimize the freestanding membrane-based electrolytes specifically for Li-ion battery applications.
•    Fabricate coin cells for Lithium-ion batteries using both liquid and solid electrolytes.
•    Assembly and electrochemical characterization of pouch cell prototype.
•    Analyze cell failure mechanisms and perform root cause analysis. Develop mitigation plans to ensure long-term battery stability and performance.

Qualifications

•    B.S. or M.S. in the area of electrochemistry, nanotechnology and materials science.
•    Minimum 1 year experience in lithium batteries.
•    Experience in fabrication of Li-based batteries in coin cell and pouch cell level.
•    In-depth knowledge in electrochemistry, electrochemical techniques (CV, LSV, EIS etc), batteries and polymer electrolytes.
•    Experience in synthesis nanomaterials and nanocomposites for designing cathodes for Li batteries.
•    Good knowledge in nanotechnology, nanocomposites, materials science are also desired.
•    Experience in handling analytical instruments (e.g. SEM, STEM, XRD, TGA, Raman, IR, XPS, Viscometer etc.)
