Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated, independent, and collaborative Research Assistant Professor (RAP) to join a multidisciplinary team driving a research program on Energy-Aware Accelerated Computing. The successful candidate will contribute both scientifically and strategically to the execution of this large-scale research initiative, working closely with the Lead Principal Investigator (PI), co-investigators, students, and external collaborators.
The RAP will play a central role in ensuring the successful delivery of the program by providing scientific leadership, coordinating research activities across multiple work packages, and supporting the overall management of the project. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research at the intersection of computer architecture, memory technologies, advanced packaging, and AI systems while contributing to the development of next-generation energy-efficient computing platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate research activities across multiple work packages, research groups, and collaborating institutions to ensure effective program execution
• Monitor project milestones, deliverables, manpower deployment, budgets, and reporting timelines, proactively identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies
• Support the preparation of technical reports, progress updates, review presentations, and other documentation required by the funding agency and program management
• Organize and coordinate program meetings, technical workshops, review sessions, and stakeholder engagements, ensuring effective communication across the program
• Facilitate collaboration among researchers from diverse disciplines, fostering integration of research outcomes across the program
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to graduate students and research staff participating in the project
• Publish research outcomes in leading peer-reviewed journals and present findings at premier international conferences
Qualifications
• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science, Applied Physics, or a closely related discipline
• Strong publication record in leading international journals and conferences relevant to the candidate's field
• Proven ability to conduct independent research while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and meet project milestones
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with academic, industry, and government stakeholders
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently while contributing positively to a collaborative research environment.
