Job Description

The Department of Political Science at the National University of Singapore invites application for Research Assistant Professor in Political Science. We welcome applications from candidates in all subfields, including but not limited to international relations (including non-traditional security and human security), international political economy, gender politics, global studies, and governance and public policy. 

Compensation is competitive and includes eligibility for annual performance bonus and salary increment and medical benefits. Successful candidates are expected to teach graduate and undergraduate classes and take a leading role in developing new departmental initiatives. 

The Department of Political Science (https://www.fas.nus.edu.sg/pol/) includes scholars working in all areas of political science, as well as an interdisciplinary Global Studies programme examining the processes and effects of globalisation across political, economic, social, and cultural domains (https://fass.nus.edu.sg/globalstudies). Faculty and students can take advantage of resources in the Asia Research Institute, the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, and various research institutes including the Asia-Europe Foundation, the Institute of South Asian Studies, the East Asia Institute, and the Yusof Ishak Institute—Institute of Southeast Asian Studies among others. 4. A research statement of no more than 2 pages stating your research interests and research plans for the next 3 years.
5. A teaching statement of no more than 2 pages, as well as sample syllabi, teaching evaluations, and/or other evidence of teaching quality.
