Applications are invited for the following full-time position in the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE IN EPIDEMIOLOGY

 

We are seeking a Research Associate to join a multi-disciplinary research team to conduct research on cognition in study cohorts, assist in research procedures, conduct data analysis and write scientific manuscripts.

Candidates will gain extensive training and exposure to research skills (study conduct / planning, data analysis, and scientific writing) as well as supervision skills.

 

Job Description
● Work with research team to develop project plans, which include requirements, scope, deliverables, budget and schedules.
● Oversee and plan project demands and determine project goals to ensure the project supports research objectives and strategies
● Identify, manage and track issues, risks and dependencies that affect the delivery of the project outcome.
● Apply for ethics approval and amendments of the designated research projects
● Assist in data entry and data analysis of research projects
● Conduct assessment and follow-up of research participants
● Present project updates to grantors and team members on a regular basis.
● Analyse data using sophisticated stats tools such as STATA, R, Python and able to write scientific manuscript
● Analyse neuroimaging data

 

Requirements:
• Master degrees in statistics, public health/epidemiology or radiology.
• Has relevant hands-on experience working with different softwares and digital platform in a team.
• Good grasp of latest IT technologies, methodologies and best practices
• Hands-on experience in designing and developing application using Java EE, Spring
• Hands-on experience with machine learning algorithms and brain imaging processing
• Possess leadership qualities and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with different collaborators
• Possess a can-do attitude towards complex challenges
• Experience in healthcare industry and research settings is an added advantage
