Job Description

This position involves the full-stack hardware development and engineering implementation of a novel Non-Invasive RF-Ultrasound Wireless Transceiver System for implantable medical applications.

The role focuses on bridging the gap between theoretical modelling and robust physical prototyping, applying industrial system design standards to academic research.

Key Responsibilities include:
•    System Architecture Design: Leading the design of high-reliability PCBs and mixed-signal circuits, specifically focusing on microwave transceivers, low-noise analog front-ends for driving ultrasonic transducers and processing RF signals.
•    Embedded Development: Implementing high-speed digital logic and timing controls on FPGA as well as MCU platforms to handle high-speed ADC/DAC data acquisition and system control.
•    Data Analysis: Establishing automated data acquisition pipelines using Python to generate datasets for Machine Learning model training and validation. Perform feature extraction, pattern recognition, and validating the system's sensing accuracy through data-driven approaches.

Qualifications

•    Minimum a Bachelor degree in a related field.

•    Industrial Hardware Experience: Prior industry experience as a System Design or FPGA Engineer is highly preferred. Demonstrated capability in bringing hardware from concept to robust prototype, with a strong focus on signal integrity and electromagnetic compatibility.

•    Technical Skills: Experience in multi-layer PCB design, particularly in mixed-signal domains and for implantable medical device applications. Proficiency in Python for signal processing, instrument control, and data analysis using AI. Strong C/C++ programming skills for high-performance MCUs. Proficiency in Verilog for high-speed signal processing and complex timing generation.

•    Open to Fixed Term Contract.
