Job Description

This project aims to investigate the resistance of different 3D printed concrete structures against blast loadings via experimental tests and numerical models. 

The candidate is expected to

• Perform concrete mix design for 3D printing of specimens
• Plan and coordinate experimental blast tests
• Calibrate numerical model for explosive and blast loading on concrete
• Perform numerical parametric studies 
   

Job Requirements

• Possess a BEng degree in a relevant field with demonstrated experience in the following; Experience with conducting explosives / blast related experiments and modelling of explosives / blast simulations numerically. 
• Good verbal and written communication skills. 
• Open to fixed-term contract.
