The National University of Singapore invites applications for the position of Research Fellow in the Department of Computer Science, School of Computing (SoC). The Research Fellow will be responsible for working closely with the Principal Investigator (A/Prof Suranga Nanayakkara). He/She will work in the area of Intelligent Drone Interfaces. This include development of adaptive interfaces designed to enhance First-Person View (FPV) drone piloting by integrating real-time sensory data, including biometric data from pilots and telemetry from drones. Our aim is to create user interfaces that dynamically adjust to the pilot’s environmental and physiological conditions, thereby reducing cognitive load and improving piloting precision for a more responsive and intuitive experience.
Qualifications
The potential candidate should possess experience or interest in following areas:
- PhD in Computer Science or Information Systems (or equivalent)
- At least 3 years of experience working with drones
- Good UI/UX and rapid prototyping
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skill
