Job Description

The successful candidate will work with Jieshun Lin on MOE Tier2 under a project on The molecular mechanism of FUN Decoding Zn signals in legumes.

 

The main responsibilities of the position include:

  • Conduct experiments;
  • supervise students;
  • accomplish lab jobs;
  • present in scientific meeting and conferences;
  • write manuscripts and proposal

Qualifications

PhD in Plant Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Cell Biology, or a related field, with background in Plant Genetics, Cellular Biology, Molecular Biology, and Biochemistry, preferably with experience Plant-Microbe Interaction or Plant Nutrition.


Skills:

  • Expertise in molecular cloning, imaging, protein-DNA and protein-protein interactions (ChIP, IP-MS, Y2H). 
  • Proficiency in plant transformation, CRISPR genome editing, or related genetic engineering techniques are desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent scientific writing and communication skills, with a track record of peer-reviewed publications.


Experience:

  • Experience in cell biology techniques such as confocal microscopy, histological staining, and protein localization studies.
  • Proficiency in genetic analysis, including construct design and making, genotyping, and functional characterization of genes is advantageous.
