Job Description

The successful candidate will work with A/P Darren Yeo Chong Jinn under a project titled “Cumulative Impact Assessment in Singapore Reservoirs”.

The main responsibilities of the position include:

• Field and lab works required for the project
• Data analyses and report preparation
• Dissemination of findings via publications and presentations

Qualifications

PhD in Ecology and/or Life Science or equivalent.

Skills:

• Good organizational skills and excellent attention to detail is essential
• Possess leadership qualities, highly-motivated, responsible, and a fast learner
• Independent, but also able to work well with others in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Physically fit for extended periods of field work in tropical freshwater lentic environments
• Laboratory and field experiences is highly desirable
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe applications
• Expertise in statistical and quantitative analysis within R and MATLAB environments
• A valid Singapore Class 3 driving license is highly desirable
• Power Pleasured Craft Driving License (PPDCL) is an added advantage

Experience:

• Prior experience in aquatic field research and ecology
