Job Description
• The Research Fellow will work in a recently granted project to develop enzymes and cascade biotransformations for the synthesis of high-value chemicals from renewable feedstock.
• The research tasks include engineering of novel biosynthesis pathways for the conversion of aminoacids to selected high-value chemicals, development of new enzymes with enhanced activity and selectivity by directed evolution, and development of one-pot cascade biotransformations for high-yielding production of high-value chemicals.
Job Requirements
• PhD trained in biochemical engineering, biocatalysis, biotransformation, biochemistry, biotechnology, synthetic biology, or bioorganic chemistry.
• Experience in cascade bioreactions, pathway engineering, enzyme engineering, directed evolution, reaction engineering, whole-cell biotransformations, and/or bioprocess development.
• Good communication skills in oral and written English.
• Good publication record.
