Job Description

The successful candidate will work with Prof HUANG DEJIAN on Prolamin passed scaffold under a project on Sustainable Production of Cultivated Meat: Media, Scaffolds and Bioprocess.
 
The main responsibilities of the position include:
1) Coordinate activity of progress of sub-projects of this grant funded by government (Singapore Food Agency).
2) Lead development of plant proteins as new edible biomaterials for scaffold fabrication and coating materials to improve cyto-affinities.
3) Write progress reports of the grant.
4) Write invention disclosures.
5) Write manuscripts for publication.
6) Write grant proposals related to the plant protein work.
7) Supervise junior students.

Qualifications

• Qualifications / Discipline:
PhD degree majoring in Food Science and Technology or closely related fields.

 

• Skills:
Skilled at extraction of plant proteins and natural products, Food analysis methods such as HPLC, SDS-PAGE, proximate analysis, cell culture skills, imaging, molecular biology experimental skills. Good communication skills in writing and spoken English. Excellent skills in scientific writing including creative graphic preparation. 

 

• Experience:  
0 -3 years of working experience.
