Job Description

The successful candidate will work with Dr Li Dan on Prevention of microbial contamination in cell culture meat system under a project on Bezos Center: alternative protein.

The main responsibilities of the position include:

• Screen and develop mitigation strategies of cell culture systems with AI-assisted tools; 
• Build scaled-up cell culture meat systems and test the proposed antimicrobial strategies; 
• Draft research reports and manuscripts; 
• Attend conferences and events to publicize the research outcomes and initiatives; 
• Guide research students and advise their thesis.

Qualifications

• Qualifications / Discipline: PhD in food science and food microbiology.

• Skills: Microbial cultivation and test, multi-omics analysis, food chemistry

• Experience: PhD training with the skills required in this project.
