This project aims to develop integrated optical transceiver components on emerging material platforms to meet growing AI-driven data demands. More specifically, we will develop high-speed modulators and frequency comb sources on the thin-film lithium niobate and lithium tantalate platforms.
This position will be hosted by Assistant Professor Di ZHU’s group in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Successful candidates will be involved in, but not limited to, the following activities:
• Design, fabricate, and measure integrated electro-optic and nonlinear optical device
• Assist in mentoring graduate students
• Regularly disseminate research results through reports, presentations, and manuscripts
Qualifications
• Ph.D. degree (completed or soon to be completed) in Physics, Applied Physics, Material Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other relevant areas
