Job Description
The National University of Singapore invites applications for the position of Research Fellow in the Centre for Holistic Inquiry into Lifelong Learning (CHILL).
The Research Fellow will be responsible for working closely with the Principal Investigator (A/Prof Suranga Nanayakkara). He/She will work in developing effective pedagogical strategies for CET (Continuous Education and Training) courses. Their work will involve developing potential strategies based prior work and in-house qualitative/quantitative data collections, designing interventions based on these strategies, testing and piloting them across various adult/lifelong learning courses.
Major responsibilities include:
1. Working with A/Prof Suranga Nanayakkara and Senior Research Fellow at CHILL to conduct original, impactful research.
2. Taking the lead on research & development work related top pedagogical strategies for CET (Continuous Education and Training) courses.
3. Contributing to disseminate research outcomes to the audience in the field of Adult Learning/Education/Learning Sciences through presentations, demos and journal/conference papers.
4. Participating in project meetings as well as industrial/academic events.
Qualifications
- A PhD in Learning Sciences, Education or related field
- Expertise in Adult Learning Theories and Frameworks
- Expertise in Qualitative Research Methods
- A strong research background with proven publication track record
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
