Job Description
We have an opening for a Research Fellow (Transportation) in areas related to traffic operations, traffic control, simulation, and connected and automated vehicles (CAVs). Specifically, we expect the selected candidate to lead and pursue high-quality research on intelligent transportation systems, including but not limited to:
• Traffic flow theory,
• Traffic control in urban and highway contexts,
• Vehicle dynamics and control,
• Machine learning and AI, and
• Data privacy and security.
In addition to research, the selected candidate is expected to help draft research proposals and supervise graduate and undergraduate students.
Job Requirements
• Possess a Doctoral degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other closely related fields.
• Research experience in Intelligent Transportation Systems with excellent publication record.
• Good programming and analytical skills.
• Expertise in control theory, optimization, game theory, and AI is highly preferable.
• Good technical proposal writing and presentation skills.
• Able to plan and organize well and adhere to the deadline.
• Able to perform research in a multidisciplinary team.
• Open to fixed-term contract.
