Job Description
We are looking for a research fellow for the project on ultraprecision fabrication of functional components with additive manufacturing and micro-scale surface treatment. The candidate is required to conduct design and manufacture of the bespoke fixtures and tooling for post-processing of the 3D-printed geometries to meet the industrial requirements. He/she will also be responsible for reporting and coordinating with our stakeholders and writing technical papers.
Qualifications
Interested applicants are required to possess a PhD degree. He/she should have a good understanding in
1. Ultraprecision machining technology with excellent hands-on experience;
2. A solid background of micro-/nano-scale material removal processes and mechanisms with a good track record of publications;
3. Experienced in metal additive manufacturing and its post-processing methods; and
4. Mechanical and non-mechanical surface treatment and finishing techniques.
