Job Description
AI Singapore (AISG) is a national AI programme launched by the National Research Foundation (NRF) to anchor deep national capabilities in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The programme office is hosted by the National University of Singapore (NUS) and brings together all Singapore-based research institutions and the vibrant ecosystem of AI start-ups and companies developing AI products to perform use-inspired research, grow the knowledge, create the tools, and develop the talent to power Singapore's AI efforts.
AI Singapore (AISG) seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Research Fellow. The Research Fellow will collaborate with researchers, faculty, and external stakeholders to facilitate the research, evaluation and deployment processes involved in research projects.
Duties & Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
• Participate in the full research projects to deployment pipeline and help conceptualize, develop research or evaluation experiments, and then implement the systems to execute these experiments.
• Conduct data annotation, collection, and analysis for research projects.
• Conduct landscape and literature reviews to understand the potential solutions and the state-of-the-art models.
• Manage research projects with minimal supervision, develop new research methodologies and contribute to innovative approaches, design and execute experiments or studies to advance knowledge in a specific field.
• Work closely with Principal Investigators and researchers for benchmarking various baseline models.
• Contribute to disseminate research outcomes through presentations, demonstrations and top conference papers.
Qualifications
● A PhD degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering, or related disciplines
● Possess strong background in Computer Vision (CV) and Artificial Intelligence (AI); Research background in Large Multimodal Models (LMMs) / LLM security is a plus
● Excellent knowledge in deep learning frameworks, e.g., PyTorch, Tensorflow
● Strong first-author publication records in top-tier AI conferences; Prior publications in major computer vision (CVPR/ICCV/ECCV) or machine learning (NeurIPS, ICML/ICLR) conferences is a plus
● Good communications skills in both written and verbal English
● An adventurous spirit and willingness to learn and experiment with new ideas and new domains
● Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
