Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and innovative Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of advanced exhaust treatment catalyst materials and devices for ammonia (NH₃) combustion engines. This role involves cutting-edge research at the intersection of catalysis, materials science, and environmental engineering, aimed at enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of NH₃-based combustion technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and synthesize novel catalyst materials for exhaust treatment in NH₃ combustion engines.
- Evaluate the catalytic performance under realistic exhaust conditions, focusing on activity, selectivity, and durability.
- Develop integrated catalyst-device systems for optimal emission control and reduction of harmful byproducts.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including materials scientists, chemical engineers, and environmental researchers.
- Utilize advanced characterization techniques (e.g., electron microscopy, spectroscopy) to analyze catalyst structures and performance.
- Optimize catalyst formulations and device configurations to meet regulatory and performance standards.
- Prepare high-impact research publications, patents, and technical reports.
- Present findings at scientific conferences and contribute to grant proposals for continued research.
Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
- A Ph.D. in Heterogeneous Catalysis, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.
Technical Expertise:
- Highly skilled in catalyst design, synthesis, and characterization.
- Extensive experience with high-end electron microscopy techniques, including but not limited to aberration-corrected TEM/STEM, EELS, and in situ/operando methods.
Professional Experience:
- Proven track record of extensive hands-on experience in heterogeneous catalysis research.
- Demonstrated ability to tackle complex scientific challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
