Duke-NUS Medical School (Duke-NUS) was established through a landmark collaboration between two world-class institutions; Duke University and National University of Singapore, with the objective of providing innovative education and impactful research that enhance the practice of medicine in Singapore and beyond.

 

The Centre of Regulatory Excellence (CoRE), established at Duke-NUS in 2014, aims to advance regulatory science and health policy in the Asia-Pacific, focusing on South-East Asia. It offers a highly regarded education portfolio for industry professionals and regulators. CoRE also plays a pivotal role in promoting thought leadership, driving policy innovation in health product regulation, global health, and addressing challenges in health systems and regulatory frameworks. Its key focus areas encompass digital health, vaccines & pandemic preparedness, advanced & innovative therapeutics, innovative clinical trials, and medical devices.

 

We are seeking a Scientific Officer to enhance adult learning experiences by applying evidence-based educational initiatives and integrating insights from emerging market trends. The roles and responsibilities of the successful candidate would include: 

  • Research & Insights: Conduct literature reviews and stakeholder surveys to identify emerging trends in health products regulatory science and andragogy.
  • Curriculum Development: Assist in the designing of impactful workshop curriculum including learning objectives, programme structure, online training materials and case discussions.
  • Digital Innovation: Support the implementation of new digital technologies to develop and deliver impactful and engaging training materials.
  • Operations Management: Assist operations of workshop execution, including student and faculty management and the Learning Management System.
  • Network & Collaboration: Build and maintain a network of regulatory technical experts and key opinion leaders across Asia Pacific and globally.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in Biomedical, Life Sciences or equivalent.
  • Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.
  • Prior work experience in the areas of pharmaceuticals, biologics or medical devices would be advantageous
  • Competent in development of training materials and conduct of workshops.
