Job Description
We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Senior Executive to join our Strategic Data Insights Unit. In this role, you will be a key partner to NUSMed business units — designing and delivering data dashboards, supporting the migration and enhancement of our Faculty Data Warehouse, and championing data governance across the School. Your work will directly enable strategic and operational decision-making at one of Asia's foremost medical institutions.
Responsibilities:
- Data Analytics & Visualisation: Partner with stakeholders across the School to conceptualise, design, and maintain data visualisation tools — including dashboards and reports — that track core business metrics and performance indicators. You will continuously optimise processes to eliminate redundancies and improve efficiency.
- Project Management – Faculty Data Warehouse: Collaborate with vendors, developers, and NUS IT to manage the successful migration of the NUSMed Faculty Data Warehouse to Microsoft Fabric, from requirements gathering and scoping through to procurement, implementation, and ongoing operational support.
- Data Quality Management: Work with business units to identify and implement data quality improvements, process enhancements, and standardised documentation such as the Education/OfS Data Dictionary.
- Data Governance: Partner with NUS IT to keep NUSMed staff informed of data governance policies, and maintain the Data Steward/Manager registry to uphold strong governance standards.
- Technology Adoption: Stay current with emerging technologies and tools in collaboration with NUS central teams, and pursue annual upskilling and training in relevant skillsets.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Systems Management, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant work experience, with a background in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related discipline. Experience in an academic or healthcare setting is an advantage.
- Expertise in designing and developing dashboards and data visualisations, preferably using Power BI
- Strong ability to gather business requirements and translate them into actionable analytics
- Experience with business intelligence platforms and relational databases
- Familiarity with MS Fabric, SQL, and SQL Server is preferred
- Knowledge of data engineering concepts (data modelling, data pipelines, ETL/Reverse ETL) is advantageous
- Exposure to AI/ML applications in analytics (e.g. predictive modelling, AI-driven forecasting) is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Meticulous, self-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
