Job Description
- Manage all matters pertaining to the MA coursework programme, Master of Arts in Chinese Culture and Literature (MACCL):

- Handle publicity, including marketing and advertising
- Process programme applications and follow up on successful and unsuccessful applications
- Manage course registration and advise on candidature matters
- Liaise with Graduate Studies Division and OUR on graduate student matters
- Handle timetabling and examination matters
- Manage medals and prizes
- Handle HR and finance matters
- Organise events for MACCL students
- Attend to students’ queries
- Generate statistical data
- Secretarial duties for departmental meetings
- Commencement and examination duties
- Coordinate related events, such as orientation and graduation party
- Fire warden and assist with safety management plans
- Perform other duties as assigned by Director of MACCL and Reporting Manager
Qualifications
- Degree holder
- Preferably with 2-3 years of working experience
- Strong spoken and written communication skills in both English and Chinese as this role requires communication with Chinese-speaking students, staff and external stakeholders, due to the nature of the curriculum offered by the Department
- IT savvy and proficient in MS Office applications
- Good numeracy skills with attention to detail
- Meticulous, responsive and adaptive to changes
- Highly committed with a positive service-oriented attitude
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
