Job Description
The Senior Executive is responsible for supporting the financial operations of NUS Enterprise and its overseas subsidiaries through accurate financial reporting, efficient processing of transactions, and timely analysis of financial data. The role also ensures compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, statutory requirements, university policies, and grant requirements, while providing support to the finance team and other stakeholders in day-to-day financial matters.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the finance operations of NUS Enterprise and its overseas subsidiaries.
- Prepare financial records, reports, and reconciliations accurately and on time.
- Handle AP/AR, journal entries, and month-end/year-end closing for NUS Enterprise and its overseas subsidiaries, where applicable.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, audit, tax and grant-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with university policies, grant requirements, accounting standards, and internal controls.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required.
- Assist in finance process improvements and perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent is an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliation processes, and internal controls.
- Experience in full set of accounts, financial closing, budgeting, audit support, and grant-related compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, for financial analysis, reporting, and presentation.
- Proficiency in SAP HANA, Xero and MYOB is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively as a team player.
- Meticulous, self-driven, and adaptable, with a positive working attitude.
