Job Description
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on the resilience of the NUS community while working with diverse stakeholders across the University. This role combines community engagement, programme development, operational readiness, and strategic planning, offering excellent opportunities for professional growth and meaningful contribution.
- Connect with the NUS Community and shape campus security outreach – Design and deliver engaging, campus-wide outreach programmes including but not limited to anti-scam awareness, preventive drug education, anti-vaping, personal safety and security.
- Be the face of our outreach programmes – Engage directly with the NUS community, student leaders and student groups to organise and deliver talks, workshops, campaigns and interactive activities that promote a safer campus community.
- Create and measure impact – Track programme reach, participation, feedback and knowledge retention through simple dashboards, and use insights to continuously improve outreach initiatives.
- Own campus emergency resources – Take ownership of the end-to-end management of AEDs and PPE, including deployment, maintenance, inventory and operational readiness.
- Build a security-ready campus – Plan and coordinate SGSecure readiness activities with NUS units, students and external agencies.
- Strengthen campus security and emergency readiness – Support premise audits, security walkabouts and red-teaming exercises with stakeholders to identify gaps, test preparedness and strengthen campus resilience.
- Support business continuity and emergency preparedness – Support to BCM documentation, exercises and preparedness activities to strengthen the department’s ability to respond effectively to disruptions.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree, preferably in Security, Emergency Management, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in emergency preparedness, security operations, or BCM.
- We also welcome recent graduates with positive and pro-active mindset.
- Calm under pressure, organized, analytical, and collaborative.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- May require after hours and weekend work.
