Tembusu College seeks a dynamic candidate to join us as a Senior Manager to provide administrative support for learning and community life for undergraduate members of the College

 

This is a full-time position which is offered for a 2-year appointment in the first instance.

 

1. Admissions Administration

  • Manage and coordinate essays and interviews with faculty members and applicants.
  • Update and maintain information/data in Admission Systems, Tembusu College website and other systems.
  • Manage senior selection applications and exchange student

 

2. Accomodation and Student Life Management

  • Coordinate with the Office of Housing Services and Office of Student Affairs on student accommodation and student life matters.

 

3. Outreach

  • Coordinate outreach activities such as NUS Open Day, career fairs/talks and school tours to promote Tembusu College to prospective students in junior colleges and polytechnics. The candidate will work closely with various offices within the university such as the Office of University Communications, Office of Admissions, Office of Housing Services etc.
  • Recruitment and training of ambassadors.
  • Develop collaterals and publicity materials for outreach

 

4. Alumni Engagement and Advancement

  • Develop and implement strategies to cultivate strong, lasting connections with Alumni.
  • Organise key events (e.g. Homecoming, reunions, professional networking) and maintain regular alumni communications with the help of the College's Alumni Working Group (AWG).
  • Manage alumni databases and support mentorship, volunteering, and recognition efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Development Office and external groups to enhance alumni involvement and support.

 

5. Events/Programmes

  • Meet students to plan programmes and provide guidance with programme details, budgeting set-up etc.
  • Review programme proposals with Fellows in charge.
  • Act as liaison between students and other internal and external stakeholders

 

6. Facilities Management

  • Manage college facilities booking for staff and students, and card access related matters.
  • Prepare annual space review report for University Campus Infrastructure.
  • Maintain College's spaces (e.g. seminar rooms and parking matters) and fixed assets by conducting half yearly checks on college inventory and replenishing supplies whenever required.

 

 

The successful candidate will work closely with Tembusu College administration team, fellows, and relevant NUS offices. This role may include ad-hoc projects or responsibilities assigned by the College Master and offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the development and impact of the College community.

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • At least a recognised Bachelor's degree
  • Relevant working experience, preferably in an institution of higher learning.
  • Good analytical skills with a positive attitude, and an eagerness to learn.
  • Able to integrate information to assess issues, and solve problems creatively
  • Able to perform under pressure, meticulous, mature, resourceful and adaptable.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Enjoys interacting with undergraduates and possesses a customer-service mindset.
  • Able to work independently and in a team.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, with strong Excel skills.
