Job Description

• Support Head, NUS AV Unit, in site meetings, troubleshooting and deployment of AV assets across NUS.

• Manage and maintain existing specialised AV assets in NUS AV Unit’s care.

• Procure, deploy and supervise augmented manpower/contract crew.

• Deploy and support events at 2 specialised venues, the Performance Hall and Blackbox Theatre with an augmented crew.

• Deploy and support small scale outdoor events.

• Lead the procurement and installation of a self-serviced AV solution at the Performance Hall able to support lectures.

• Maintenance and statutory licensing of AV assets.

• Deployment and rental of AV assets.

• Conduct enrichment workshops and training for NUS staff managing AV equipment (eg. in Residential Colleges and Dining Halls) eg. how to operate a simple mixer, deploy a portable PA system or simple lighting design.

• Co-ordination and AV support for select NUS events.

Qualifications

• Working experience in and strong knowledge of specialised AV solutions and equipments, namely those deployed at performing arts venues, commercial concerts or events (eg. lighting console, moving lights, sound consoles, videos and also mobile staging).

• Broad working knowledge of stage lighting, sound and staging with a specialisation in at least one of the areas.

• Keen understanding and up-to-date knowledge on most AV solutions. Able to advise on specialised solutions and/or generate alternative technical solutions relevant to requests and requirements.

• Awareness of safety protocols, MOM licensing and good practices in local context.

• Knowledge of classroom and meeting room AV including network solutions (eg. Crestron, Extron), Zoom and hybrid class solutions is a plus.
