Job Description

The candidate will perform operational and administrative duties at the front office of Residential Colleges at NUS, with key responsibilities as follows:

 

1) Front Desk Operations

  • Manage front desk services and ensure check-in and check-out operations for student residences at University Town align with Housing Services' objectives.
  • Respond to and resolve enquiries and feedback from residents, guests, conference delegates, and other stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Administer and update room bookings and resident records in the University Housing Management System, including FIN expiry tracking, room access programming, and key management.

 

2) Other Duties

  • Assist in planning and coordinating the bi-annual mass check-in and check-out exercise.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including occupancy reporting, fault and feedback logging, filing and indexing, and inventory control.
  • Process payments and perform related financial data entry.
  • Deliver a positive customer experience, with the ability to turn complaints into compliments.
  • Support building management matters at the residences as needed, including safety, security, and facilities issues.
  • Handle crises and incidents reported within the student residences.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in frontline customer service
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Well-groomed and presentable, with a professional demeanour
  • Positive attitude and a strong team player
  • Able to multi-task and perform effectively under pressure
