Job Description

Contingent Staff (Scholarships and Student Academics Support)

 

To provide temporary operational support and coverage for a team member on maternity leave, ensuring continuity of operations and smooth management of key student administration and finance-related portfolios. 

 

Duration: 02 June 2026 – 31 December 2026

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Student Administration Support
    - Support AISG and ISEP student matters including candidature-related processes
    - Assist with printing of student cards and Long-Term Visit Pass applications and submissions for all graduate research students

 

2. Coordination of Financial Aid Schemes
    - Coordinate the Student Research Assistant (SRA) and Short-Term Work (STW) schemes
    - Process applications and liaise with stakeholders including Faculties and MOE

 

3. Claims Processing
    - Process PGF airfare and other student-related claims
    - Ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with documents and information submitted 

 

4. Audit & Finance Coordination
    - Liaise with OFN and Audit Teams on audit of scholarships-related audits (internal and external)
    - Coordinate with NUSGS staff and Faculty Administrators on required documentation and information
    - Respond to audit requests and questions in a timely manner

 

5. Management of Enquiries
    - Manage and respond to email enquiries related to the above portfolios
    - Ensure clear, accurate and timely communication with stakeholders

 

6. Operational Support
    - Provide general administrative and operational support to the team, as required

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

 

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and IT-savvy
• Ability to multitask, plan, and prioritise effectively
• Meticulous, proactive, and well-organised with a pleasant disposition
• Strong team player with good communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and results-oriented
