Job Description

The Department of Southeast Asian Studies at the National University of Singapore seeks to fill a Visiting Fellow position, beginning July 2025. The Department is particularly interested in recruiting a scholar who will enjoy the opportunity of working in an area studies department. We seek a scholar who specialises in one or more of the following fields: science, technology, and society (STS); economics (particularly with a focus on the political economy) and/or economic anthropology. Priority will be given to applicants with a regional focus on Mainland Southeast Asia.

Candidates should have expertise in Southeast Asian languages relevant to their research.

Qualifications

• A PhD in relevant field with minimum 2 years experience
• Excellent pedagogical and communication skills
